How Pitch Nav Works

From your first video to your completed mechanics report — a clear, step-by-step overview of the entire process.

Step 01

Create Your Athlete Profile

Set up a free account and complete the multi-step intake form. You'll share information about your physical profile, velocity history, pitching background, and goals.

Name, age, height, weight, and playing level
Throwing handedness and primary position
Current and goal velocity (clearly labeled as athlete-provided)
Secondary pitches, years of experience, coaching history
Health and safety screening questions
Parent or guardian consent for athletes under 18

ℹ️ Athletes under 13 are not accepted at this time.

Step 02

Set Up Your Camera

Follow the camera-setup wizard before you film. It gives you a diagram, a distance guide, and a checklist to confirm before you continue.

Open-side view: film from the throwing-arm side, perpendicular to the pitch
Camera height: 6 feet high, with the lens level
Recommended frame rate: 120 or 240 fps if your device supports it
Full body must remain in frame through release
Do not zoom or move the camera during the pitch

Step 03

Upload Your Video

Record directly from your device or upload an existing video from your camera roll. We support MP4, MOV, and most common formats.

Radar screenshot or radar-backed video (optional)
Video quality checklist before final submission

ℹ️ Videos are stored securely in a private bucket. Only you and your assigned reviewer can access your files.

Pay & Submit

Review your order summary, agree to the terms and disclaimer, and complete your secure checkout. Your order is created only after payment is confirmed.

Step 05

Track Your Order

Track your order in your dashboard. You'll get an email whenever your status changes.

Reviewer may request replacement videos if needed
Typical delivery: one business day after complete submission

ℹ️ If your reviewer needs replacement videos, you'll be notified with a clear explanation and 14 days to re-upload at no extra charge.

View Your Complete Report

When your analysis is complete, you'll receive an email and can access your full report in your dashboard.

Privacy & Security

Your videos are stored privately. Only you and your assigned reviewer can see them. You can request deletion of your videos or your entire account at any time from your dashboard.

Pitch Nav provides educational baseball training information. It does not provide medical care, diagnose injuries, calculate clinical injury risk, or guarantee increases in velocity. Mechanics scores and position analysis are coaching tools intended to track development in the same athlete over time — not medical scores or laboratory biomechanics measurements.

Athletes experiencing pain while throwing, or who have experienced throwing-related pain in the past 30 days, should stop throwing and speak with a parent, athletic trainer, physical therapist, or qualified medical professional before continuing. Pitch Nav is not a medical service and cannot respond to medical emergencies.
